Psychotherapy Practice

Three decades of clinical practice — the foundation that informs all of Dr. Gold’s current work.

Current Practice Posture

Dr. Gold is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona, Colorado, and Hawaii; a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona; and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Utah. She brings three decades of clinical experience in trauma, relationship, and sex therapy to her work.

Dr. Gold’s current client work is focused on coaching and bespoke destination retreats. She continues to provide psychotherapy to clients she has worked with over the years, but is not accepting new psychotherapy clients at this time, with rare exceptions in the U.S. states where she is licensed to practice.

If You Are Seeking Psychotherapy

If you are seeking psychotherapy and have not previously worked with Dr. Gold, there are three paths available to you.

Path 1

Explore Coaching

Dr. Gold's coaching work supports clients through every phase of psychedelic-assisted healing and growth — preparation, facilitation, and integration. Coaching is appropriate when you are functioning well and seeking growth, integration support, or preparation for psychedelic work. Coaching is not a substitute for psychotherapy when clinical mental health treatment is needed.

Path 2

Find a Soul Surfing–Trained Therapist

The Soul Surfing Therapist Directory lists licensed clinicians who have completed Soul Surfing training and share the trauma-informed, attachment-based approach that informs Dr. Gold's work. Many of these therapists are accepting new psychotherapy clients and can provide ongoing clinical care aligned with the Soul Surfing model.

Inquire About Exception Consideration

In rare cases, Dr. Gold considers new psychotherapy clients within the four U.S. states where she is licensed (Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and Hawaii). To inquire about whether your situation may qualify for such consideration, please use the contact form.

The Clinical Foundation of Dr. Gold’s Work

Although Dr. Gold’s current practice focuses on coaching, retreats, and training, her clinical psychotherapy training is the deep foundation that informs every aspect of her work. Her approach integrates:

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

ICEEFT Certified EFT Therapist and Supervisor; the first EFT-certified therapist and supervisor in Arizona.

  • Sex therapy

    AASECT Certified Sex Therapist.

  • Trauma-informed and attachment-based interventions

Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, hypnotherapy, Jungian and transpersonal psychology.

  • Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy

CIIS Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapist; MAPS-trained in MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy.

  • Marriage and Family Therapy

    AAMFT Approved Supervisor.

The clinical depth of this foundation is what allows Dr. Gold to offer coaching and retreat experiences with the rigor, ethical clarity, and embodied presence that distinguish her work — and what makes her training and consultation programs uniquely valuable to other practitioners.

For Established Psychotherapy Clients
